Feeling nauseous when using your microscope? |
|
Try: A) Adjusting your chair so that your neck isn't stretched, B) Closing your eyes when scrolling over your sample quickly or when switching between objective lenses, to reduce the movement that your eyes have to follow, C) Reducing the intensity of the light coming through the lens, D) Or give sea sickness pills a go...

Are there spots of poorer focus on your microscopy images? |
Bits of dirt or manufacturing imperfections on your slide or plate well, etc. may not be seen when you focus on your sample, but could leave spots of poorer focus on your image. Try focusing on the dirt/imperfections first and then look for areas on your sample which are "clean" before focusing on the sample itself.

They are expensive and too thick to mop up the grease off lenses, but rather they spread it around. Facial tissues mops off grease better, even if they may leave lint. |
