Last minute dissertation writing
 

  • Read papers slowly to read once only.

  • Keep reminding yourself to focus only on what’s necessary.

  • Cut down on adjectives and overcomplicated words.

  • Don’t get stuck at the all-important first sentence.  It can be added later.

  • Go to sleep!  When you wake up in the morning, proof read your work.  You will be refreshed and better able to spot typos and awkward transitions.

Title page – conveys your message

Abstract – for the librarian

Introduction – says “I am going to look at the following things”

Literature Review – show you know the subject

Philosophy of Approach – show you can pick out important ideas succinctly

Critical Analysis of Results – show you know its limitations

Future Work – show you know what’s missing

Conclusions – repetition of the intro, but with reference to the detail

References – cover the field, examiners will look for the key references

Appendices – nitty gritty details that would clutter your eloquent work
